Online Anxiety Therapist in Charleston SC and Across the U.S.

Dr. Stephanie Best, Counselor in Charleston SC, is smiling warmly and playfully spinning in a dress by a sunny window with a plant hanging overhead, surrounded by other cozy furnishings.

Who knew when you started Googling “find a therapist near me” that you would find so many therapists in Charleston or wherever you call home across the U.S.? And yet, sometimes it can feel like they’re all saying the same thing. How do you find someone who truly meets your needs and understands what YOU are all about?

My name is Dr. Stephanie Best, and I became a psychologist because I am passionate about empowering struggling people who’ve been through hard times to create meaningful change in their lives. I love watching clients heal and witnessing the impact they make on their families, friends, and communities when they are healthier and more aligned with their “inner compass”.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been on a mission to offer compassionate, holistic, evidence-based therapy that treats the whole person. I know first-hand the profound impact such an integrative approach can have on the mind, body, and soul. When all aspects of physical, mental, and emotional health are nourished, incredible things happen!

I have a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Clinical Psychology from Duke University and specialized training and expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, neuroscience-informed meditation, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, and mind-body wellness.

I know it can feel like a big step to call a therapist, but I’ll make it easy. We’ll spend 15-20 minutes on the phone, and I’ll let you know how or if I can help. If I am not the right person, I’ll do my best to get you to the right person.
